Discipleship

We have purchased a building for a 2-story space used as a cafe, library, and meeting space — sharing the Gospel openly, conducting classes to further Christian education, and creating more church leaders in Turkey.

How We Make Disciples

Discipleship has been at the heart of AIK since it began as a house church in 1992. Through weekly services, Bible studies, prayer meetings and discipleship programs, believers — most of whom come from a Muslim background — grow into mature followers of Jesus.

Because official theological education is not possible in Turkey, we partner with organizations that provide courses, teachers and materials in Turkish. Our general Biblical training track takes four to five years to complete alongside everyday work and family life, preparing members both to mature in their faith and to serve in the church.

Alongside this, we are developing a one-year academic Bible education program for students from Antalya and from other cities in Turkey. Students serve as interns in the Antalya churches while they study, putting what they learn into practical service — so that the next generation of Turkish leaders, teachers and pastors is trained here, at home.

Cultivating an Environment for Nonbelievers

A storefront centre in one of the busiest parts of Antalya will make the gospel openly visible: clear signage, a table of Bibles and Christian books freely offered, and someone present every day to welcome guests and share the message...

Creating a Safe Space for Christian Education

Official theological training is not possible in Turkey, so we partner with organizations that provide courses, teachers and materials in Turkish. In an easy-to-reach central location, believers can be trained for ministry without having to leave the country.

Training Leaders

A general Biblical training track of four to five years prepares members to mature and to serve, while a planned one-year academic program with church internships raises up the next generation of Turkish pastors, teachers and ministry leaders.

Training Leaders

Proclaiming the Gospel to those who have not heard, making disciples of Christ, training leaders, and planting churches where there are none.
